Meet Jeaneen Schmidt
Executive Coach, Team Whisperer & Self-Awareness Advocate
What drives your work as a coach and facilitator?
I believe that professional success, fulfillment, and sustainable internal energy can, and should, coexist. As a coach and facilitator, I guide leaders and teams through inside-out transformation, helping them access their deepest creative potential and lead with intention. Clients describe me as a fierce advocate for their greatness: compassionate, courageous, and clear. I bring my background as a 15-year executive and blend it with systems thinking, conscious communication, and a deep well of empathy. I’ll help you spot your blind spots and step into lasting growth.
What’s your approach to leadership and coaching?
I’m fascinated by how even the most caring and competent leaders can default to unconscious patterns under stress. In my work, I help leaders notice these patterns, stay anchored, and cultivate a conscious presence. My everyday question for myself and my clients is: “How do I awaken and sustain a relationship with my best Self?” From there, new behaviors, insights, and possibilities emerge.
What makes your coaching and facilitation unique?
Professional Certified Coach (PCC) – ICF
Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) – CTI
Organizational and Relationship Systems Coaching – ORSC
Certified in iEQ9 Enneagram (individuals and teams)
Certified in Leadership Circle 360 and Collective Leadership Assessments
BBA, University of Wisconsin
I've coached leaders in healthcare, tech, nonprofits, education, transportation, financial services, retail, and more. A standout moment? Leading executive coaching and facilitation for over 800 leaders at LinkedIn through their global Conscious Business program. That work was all about alignment, authenticity, collaboration, and transformation.
What’s your current coaching focus?
Today, I partner with executives and emerging leaders across sectors to build presence, communication, and culture. Recent engagements include:
President & CEO, Charity Navigator: New-leader assimilation—self-awareness, presence, authentic communication, creative collaboration
SVP, Human Resources (Healthcare): Executive presence and strategic communication; shifting focus from technical mastery to people and process development
Senior Creative Leader, Amazon: Culture alignment for a new leader; transitioning from managing professionals to leading leaders of professionals
VP, Revenue Cycle (Healthcare): Coaching on self-awareness, conscious communication, leadership presence, and emotional mastery
Alaska Airlines Maintenance & Engineering: Designed and delivered “Coaching to Engage” program—skills in inquiry, feedback, acknowledgment, and conscious communication under pressure
What are you learning right now?
Lately, I’ve been diving into the neuroscience behind Enneagram patterns, supporting teams and individuals to recognize what’s no longer working and unlock healthier, more impactful behaviors. I’m also deeply moved by the writings of Suleika Jaouad (The Book of Alchemy) and thought leader Bayo Akomolafe.
What are you most proud of?
I once raced competitively on an all-female sailing team on Lake Michigan. These days, you’ll find me meditating, doing yoga, or enjoying a square (or three) of dark chocolate. I’m proud of how I live in alignment with the practices I bring to my clients and of the transformational shifts I’ve witnessed in those I’ve had the honor to coach.
Fun Fact:
Growing up, my dad drove a bookmobile and parked it in our backyard every night. Unsurprisingly, I’ve spent every summer since then deep in a good book.
Current Favorite Quote:
“I have already settled it for myself so flattery and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free.”
— Georgia O’Keefe
