Carrie Craik , Learning and Development Manager

To her role, Carrie brings an extensive background in operations and administration, paired with energy and a solution-oriented approach that positively impacts clients’ experience with our team. She provides client and executive support, strategic project management on both internal and external initiatives, and supports Henley Leadership in research and the design of program materials. Previously, Carrie served as Operations Manager at the Economic Development Council of Seattle & King County (EDC), where she gained a high-level understanding of economic development and the forces that shape growth in the region. Carrie is a connector. She has a knack for building relationships and as well as tackling new ideas with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Carrie has a passion for non-profit work. Her international experience includes volunteer service in Guatemala as the Communications Officer for Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos, a network of not-for-profit children's homes serving Latin America and the Caribbean.

Carrie is a Washington State University graduate. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University.

 

 

  • Living in Guatemala for a year supporting a home with 350 children
  • Completing a second Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Washington State University (in addition to Communications)
  • Being a third-year mentor to Guatemalan university student enrolled in leadership & English immersion in Seattle
  • Maintaining a keen interest in organizational communication and leadership development, and eager to expand my understanding of the field through my work with HLG

 

  • Once volunteered English classroom instruction to young learners whose first language was Mayan Kaqchikel

  • Visited Mohandas Gandhi’s residence in India where he dedicated more than two decades to India’s freedom struggle

  • Lover of travel (clearly!) and all things outdoors (including biking, hiking, kayaking, and farmers’ markets)

  • Loyal Seattle Seahawks fan and Blue Friday participant
