Meet Our Team: George Brewster

Q: Tell us about the moment you knew you wanted to be a leadership coach.

A: When I started to do personal development work for myself and met a few people who were coaches. They showed me what was possible, piqued my interest and that led me to pursue my master's degree in Applied Behavioral Science.

Q: What is one of the most memorable moments of your coaching career?

A: Working with a leader and each of his team members, both individually and collectively, to help them learn and grow together so they could achieve the results they wanted and thrive together as a high performing team.

Q: What's your favorite thing about working at Henley Leadership Group?

A: I would definitely say the people, which then creates the culture. I am constantly learning from and with my colleagues at Henley and we are having fun along the way. I so value how real and genuine they are in caring for me, our clients and our team all while bringing so much levity along the way.

Q: What have you learned?

A: I am continually learning, to me curiosity is the killer app. So right now I'm learning how to reintegrate into our life here in Seattle, during the pandemic. Our family just returned from two years of living in Spain, so I am learning what it is like to return and to try to consciously decide what fits for me now versus just jumping right back to the way we were before we left. I'm also learning a lot by implementing what I became certified in, Narrative Coaching, Integrative Enneagram and Leadership Circle Profile, while I was away.

Q: What are you reading right now?

A:  I am reading Positive Intelligence by Shirzard Chamine.

Q: What’s making you happy?

A: My three kids navigating the start of online school. They keep coming out of their little online worlds with smiles on their faces and excitement in their voices about what they are experiencing.
